Like most retirement communities in PA, we’ve had to swiftly adapt our visitation guidelines in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our residents, staff, and guests’ safety are paramount to us and a vital part of our long-term care initiatives here at Zerbe Retirement Community. That’s why we’re so pleased to be able to announce that we’ve instituted safeguarding measures for our community to protect all of our residents and staff while allowing for outdoor visitations from family and friends.
Please Note: At this time, outdoor visitations are available by appointment only.
Please keep in mind, if someone at our long-term care community contracts the novel coronavirus, we must—by law—revert to a total “Phase 1” lockdown. As a result, we ask that you strictly follow the guidelines listed below to keep your loved ones and our skilled nursing staff as safe as possible. Thank you for your assistance and understanding.
These are the measures our retirement community is taking every day to create a place that supports active lifestyles in older adults so that they can continue living rich, purposeful lives in a healthy and safe environment.

Frequently Asked Questions
When will visitations occur?
Visits will occur on the hour, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and last one half-hour. For you and your resident’s protection, we will be disinfecting chairs, tables, and handrails between visits.
How do I schedule my visit?

We have! All of our staff and residents have completed state-mandated universal testing, and we are incredibly pleased to report that all resident and staff results have been negative.

Yes! As we start outside visitations, we’re also reopening the dining room while emphasizing social distancing and disinfecting before and after meals.
Will you be continuing your window and virtual visits?
Yes! We’ll continue to offer window and virtual visits during this time.
Being there for our community of residents and staff has never been more critical. We thank you in advance for your compliance with the safety measures we’ve instituted as we continue to keep COVID-19 out of our community and make our residents’ safety—and personal care—our number one priority.
